(FOX40.COM) — The City of Turlock is responding after the California Department of Housing and Community Development issued a notice of violation as part of a statewide enforcement effort led by Governor Gavin Newsom targeting jurisdictions that have fallen out of compliance with housing laws.
In a statement released Wednesday, the city said it has received the state’s notice regarding the status of its 6th Cycle Housing Element — a required planning document that outlines how communities will meet housing needs across all income levels.
