STOCKTON, Calif. — One has died and another has been injured after a traffic collision on SR-26 west of Avalon Drive, according to California Highway Patrol, Stockton.
The incident occurred after a 2006 Toyota Scion traveling eastbound drifted, lost control into the gravel, and overcorrected back into the lanes before crashing into a 2002 GMC. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle before it caught fire.
CHP responded to the report around 3:17 pm. The driver of the GMC was able to exit the vehicle with minor injury. However, the driver of the Toyota had to be transported to San Joaquin medical, where he later died of his injuries…
