Discounted parking available for downtown library branch patrons

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After nine months, the Downtown Branch of the Nashville Public Library is ready to reopen its doors, but visiting will now carry a small cost for parking.

It’s been months since a fire tore through the parking garage next to the branch, forcing both to close.

Monday, the doors to the downtown branch will finally reopen, following a major restoration project. The garage, however, will remain closed.

Because the garage remains closed due to structural damage sustained during the fire, visitors will have to use alternate parking arrangements. Library officials have announced visitors can utilize the McKendree garage across the street from the library, on 6th Avenue…
