ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Henrietta Fire District located a chemical/ chlorine-like odor late Friday evening at a manufacturing facility in Gates that processes plastic. The smell moved through Gates an Chili before being noticed in parts of Henrietta.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is aware of the situation.
“Based on current information, there is no indication that this poses a health hazard, and it is believed to be a nuisance odor only,” firefighters said…
