SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Military families from all over the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry came together in Savannah to honor loved ones they lost in combat.
Gold Star families are those who have lost a family member who died during combat. The American Legion Post 135 hosted 50 of these families on Friday for a day of connecting, gathering resources and touring the city of Savannah.
