Lawrence’s Department of Public Works reminds residents to recycle only approved items and to use the city-issued 95-gallon recycling cart. Accepted materials include:
- Clean plastic bottles and containers labeled #1, 2, 4, 5, or 7
- Clean food and beverage cans or cartons
- Paper
- Clean, flattened cardboard and paperboard
- Clear and colored glass bottles
Old recycling carts can no longer be used. If you need an additional recycling container, request one at cityoflawrence.org/request-trashrecycle-toter. For more details on what’s accepted, visit www.prioritywaste.com.
