Easter in Lubbock comes with a set of rules nobody explains, but everyone somehow follows. Think about it.
First rule: the wind is going to be involved in some way, shape, or form. It doesn’t matter how nice the forecast is. At some point, a 30mph gust will show up and turn your carefully planned egg hunt into a full-contact sport for kids. They won’t just be hunting eggs, they will be chasing them…possibly into traffic.
Second: you will definitely dress incorrectly. It’s going to be cold in the morning, hot by noon, and pretty much a confusing day overall. Someone will show up in a silly spring outfit and regret it immediately. Someone else will bring a jacket “just in case” and feel brilliant…
