3D-printed gun switches lead to arrest of Breaux Bridge man

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA. (KLFY) — A 19-year-old Breaux Bridge man is facing multiple charges after allegedly manufacturing illegal gun modifications using a 3D printer, according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Beckett Breaux said the arrest came after a joint investigation involving Homeland Security, the U.S. Postal Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). During the investigation, authorities said deputies recovered multiple gun switches along with equipment used to produce them, including a 3D printer.
