Section of Boulder Canyon Trail closed due to hole under bridge

DENVER (KDVR) — A section of the popular Boulder Canyon Trail is currently closed because of a hole that has formed under the abutment of a bridge.

The trail closure is located at the bridge, which is a quarter-mile east going downhill of Fourmile Canyon Drive, according to Boulder County, which said Friday no detour is available and staff are developing a plan to repair the damage.

The county said a timeline for the length of the closure is “not yet available,” but that the bridge will remain closed while a repair plan is finalized, necessary permits are secured and construction is completed.
