Seattle police responded around 1:31 PM on March 27, 2026, to reports of a man with a gun in the lobby of a memory care facility in the Southwest Precinct area. The man, identified as the husband of one of the residents, left the facility with his wife before officers arrived. With help from the King County Sheriff’s Office, officers found the couple driving in Burien and took the man into custody without incident. The woman, who was confused and unable to care for herself, was taken for involuntary treatment.
