The City and County of Honolulu is asking everyone to leave storm debris where it is and not to burn it while cleanup crews continue working after the recent storm. Crews are focusing on residential neighborhoods hit hardest by flooding, and moving debris from beaches or other areas into roads can slow their progress and create safety hazards. Burning debris is also dangerous and can pull Honolulu Fire Department resources away from emergencies. The city thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as recovery continues across Oʻahu.
