HONOLULU (KHON2) — One week since the most recent Kona low storm, the City and County of Honolulu has provided an early estimate of property damage along with alternative housing options for those impacted.
As of Saturday, March 28, the City has received 1,280 damage reports. This includes 12 homes destroyed, 255 homes with major damage and 37 homes temporarily inaccessible.
“After the recent Kona Low storms, our priority is making sure families who lost the use of their homes have a safe place to stay,” Governor Josh Green said. “We appreciate the close coordination with the city and North Shore lawmakers to quickly secure housing options and stabilize these households while recovery continues.”…
