30-year-old woman killed in College Avenue stabbing identified, suspect arrested

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed after being stabbed on College Avenue as 30-year-old Yolanda Rojo of Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said on March 25, at around 9:47 p.m., officers were called to a report of an assault in the 7000 block of College Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Rojo with severe injuries. She was taken to Kern Medical, where she later died…
