State police search for Bronx man who got away from cops inside their own headquarters

Authorities say a 29-year-old man escaped from custody in Putnam County, prompting an active search but no immediate threat to the public.

Brewster, NY – New York State Police are actively searching for a Bronx man who fled from custody Saturday afternoon at the Brewster barracks, officials said.

Julio C. Sosa, 29, escaped at approximately 4:00 p.m. after being held on a nonviolent larceny charge, according to state police. Troopers said he was last seen wearing all black clothing with a hot pink coat.
