Cincinnati man allegedly fled from police with 3 children, 2 open bottles of vodka in car

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Cincinnati police arrested a man who allegedly fled from a traffic stop only to be caught with three young children and two open bottles of vodka in his car.

According to court documents from the Hamilton County Municipal Court, James Elder Pompey was pulled over by officers in “a fully marked police cruiser with emergency blue lights and siren activated” on March 28 at De Armand Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.

Pompey allegedly “knowingly fled from officers after the attempted stop was initiated,” prompting a pursuit with police. Officers were able to catch up to Pompey and confronted him once again, this time detaining him…
