Good Samaritan in North Olmsted reports fraud on her debit card after trying to donate to family in need

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio – A woman told police that she was the victim of fraud after trying to donate money using a debit card to benefit a family in need.

Police say two similar incidents also had been reported.

The woman on the afternoon of March 3 told police she was approached outside the Giant Eagle grocery store on Lorain Road by two men who said they were collecting donations for the family of a young man who had recently been killed.
