Puppies left in Fresno park adopted by ‘caring and loving’ school community

FRESNO, Calif. (

) – A group of puppies who were left abandoned at a Fresno park on Friday have all found homes thanks in part to the “caring and loving” school community, according to the city and the Clovis Unified School District.

The box full of puppies was left inside the dog park at Todd Beamer Park, near Sommerville Drive and Behmer Avenue, in northeast Fresno. According to the City of Fresno, the abandoned puppies were reported at around 8 a.m., and animal control was able to respond to the area shortly after 9 a.m.

However, the City of Fresno tells YourCentralValley.com that by the time officials arrived to collect the puppies, they had all found new homes. The principal of nearby Copper Hills Elementary had sent a message about the abandoned dogs at around 8:45 a.m. to their students’ parents and guardians, who arrived at the park and adopted every one of the remaining puppies…
