BLACKSBURG, Va. (WJHL) — Spring practices continue in Blacksburg, where Virginia Tech continues to make improvements under James Franklin.
There’s no question: all eyes are on the quarterbacks’ room. Penn State transfer Ethan Grunkemeyer is seemingly leading the charge, but the offense is already making tweaks as A.J. Brand makes the move from quarterback to wide receiver.
“Everybody on the team loves him. He’s got an infectious personality,” coach James Franklin said. “Right now, where he was on the depth chart, we had a conversation with him and his father. It was our opinion that this was in his best interest and the team’s best interests. I think he can help us on offense and on special teams. And this is just a way to get another really good athlete, another really good person, the ability to earn a role to help us win games come fall.”…
