The Food Market, an American restaurant specializing in “playful” comfort foods, is anticipated to open an outpost in downtown Bethesda this May, according to chef and owner Chad Gauss.
The eatery, which has locations in Baltimore and Columbia, will be on the ground floor of Hampden House at 4700 Hampden Lane. The building is a new, 25-story, mixed-use apartment building fronting Wisconsin Avenue.
The Food Market’s Bethesda location will be the restaurant’s third in Maryland. Gauss also operates a Latin-inspired restaurant called La Food Marketa in Pikesville, Maryland, a snowball stand in Baltimore and a catering operation called Hoopla…
