ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of powerboat racing teams are hoping to make a splash in the 6th annual Monster Energy St. Pete Powerboat Grand Prix this weekend.
“It’s a liquid race course, so every lap is different,” said competitor Stephen Kildahl. “You may have a big wave on one lap and not have it on the next lap, so that keeps it exciting.”
