2 men found guilty in 2024 Hampton homicide

HAMPTON, Va. — Two men have been found guilty of multiple felonies following a homicide in Hampton in June 2024.

Hampton police said Re’al Butler and JC Butler, both of Hampton, were found guilty of first-degree murder on Friday, as well as using a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit murder, and shooting into an occupied dwelling, after a multi-day jury trial.

Hampton police said on June 1, 2024, they were called to a shooting on Old Buckroe Road. They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, but he was later pronounced deceased on the scene. Several days later, he was identified as 26-year-old Martez Johnson Corey…
