Cedar Rapids man arrested after Saturday night police chase

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A man is facing several criminal charges tied to a late night police chase in Cedar Rapids.

20-year-old Darryl Alexander is charged with reckless driving and eluding. He is also facing an obedience to signal of train charge.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department said the the chase started at the Linndale Mall, officers say he was doing burnouts in a parking lot. Linn County Dispatch says he drove off, starting the chase.

The chase ended on exit 20 A along the S-curve near Quaker Oats after officers used a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle…
