DALLAS — If Dallas County homeowners want to file a property value protest with the Dallas Central Appraisal District, they’re going to have to get their things together soon – a May 15 deadline for those protests is right around the corner.
In an effort to make sure Dallas County residents don’t miss out on this opportunity, a free online property tax forum will be put on this week by Dallas County Commissioner for District 4, Dr. Elba Garcia, along with Tax Assessor-Collector John R. Ames. The session will be called Property Tax 101, according to a press release from the commissioner office.
At the April 2 virtual event, which will take place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., property owners will be able to ask questions about and look into the process of filing these protests.
