Ceremony to commemorate Vietnam War Veterans Day in Downtown Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The annual National Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony will take place at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs on Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. to honor the more than 9 million Americans who served on active duty during the Vietnam War era.

The event, themed “From Sacrifice to Service: Honoring Courage, Celebrating Leadership,” marks the 53rd anniversary of the day the last U.S. combat troops departed South Vietnam in 1973, and will hold a special tribute to the 58,000 Americans who gave their lives, as well as the more than 1,500 still missing in action.

The ceremony will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Memorial Park at 1605 East Pikes Peak Avenue, and admission is free and open to the public…
