COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs joined thousands of other communities across the country Saturday for what could be one of the largest single-day demonstrations in U.S. history.
Saturday’s “No Kings 3″ protest drew millions nationwide, though it’s not yet clear how many attended. Ahead of the protests, organizers expected 9 million people, up from 5 million in June and 7 million in October. One reason for the high expectations was that more than 3,100 events were registered in all 50 states, up from roughly 2,500 protests during “No Kings 2.0″ in October.
In Colorado Springs, organizers created a “Mile of Resistance” along North Nevada Avenue. The demonstration started at noon at Uintah and Nevada with a plan to march just over a mile southward to City Hall at Nevada and Kiowa…
