(FOX40.COM) — Emergency crews responded to a train derailment early Friday morning near USA Parkway and Interstate 80, according to the Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue.
Just before 7 a.m., TMFR and Storey County Fire were dispatched to the scene, where 20 to 25 boxcars had derailed. First-arriving crews conducted a size-up and worked with rail personnel to assess the situation.
Authorities reported no hazardous material spills and no injuries.
