Gnomes return to Medina for spring break scavenger hunt

Medina’s gnomes are returning to town for some spring break mischief.

The popular “Gnomes on the Roam” event will run March 30 through April 5, inviting families, visitors and residents to explore downtown Medina in a community scavenger hunt. The small figures will be hidden in shop displays, restaurants and local businesses.

Participants can search for gnomes at participating locations, match their names to each site and submit their entries for a chance to win prizes. The event encourages residents to get out, shop local and celebrate the arrival of spring.

A highlight of the week will be a free showing of “Gnomeo & Juliet” at the Medina County District Library at 10:30 a.m. April 3. The animated film reimagines Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” with garden gnomes and features music by Elton John. Attendees will also receive a snack, bookmark and craft. No registration is required…
