šŸ”„ Bronx Firehouse Blaze Injures 14 Firefighters

A fire broke out around 6 a.m. Friday, March 28, inside the FDNY firehouse on Briggs Ave. near E. 200th St. in Bedford Park, trapping several firefighters on the second floor. Members of another company rescued them through a window.

Fourteen firefighters suffered minor injuries, and one was taken to Jacobi Hospital for observation. The three-alarm blaze started on the first floor, damaging Engine 79’s firetruck and the building itself. More than 160 FDNY and EMS members responded and brought the fire under control within about 90 minutes…
