SUV driver hits Black Rooster restaurant, injuring two

A juvenile faces charges after crashing an SUV into the Black Rooster restaurant in West Columbia, injuring two people.

According to West Columbia Police Department Assistant Chief Matthew Deas, officers responding to a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) call attempted to pull over an SUV on State Street Friday night around 10:55.

The driver did not stop and crashed into the restaurant at 201 Meeting Street. Two people inside the restaurant were injured. The restaurant was heavily damaged. Repairs were underway Saturday, but Black Rooster will remain closed until they can be completed…
