Elevated fire risk continues Sunday

MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (WBTW)– A chilly start to Sunday morning temperatures are in the 30s inland, 40s at the coast. Horry and Darlington county are seeing a frost advisory until 9 a.m. A freeze warning is in effect for Dillion and Marlboro county until 9 a.m. Mostly sunny skies will last us into the afternoon before we see a few more clouds roll into the area in the afternoon.

A burn ban remains in effect statewide for both South Carolina and North Carolina. Dry and windy conditions continue today, allowing for another day with an elevated fire risk. Please do not burn anything until further notice.

Tonight we dip down into the 50s, a few degrees warmer compared to the 30s we saw this morning. Monday our temperatures rise back into the 70s, we stay with a mix of sun and clouds into the evening. Although we won’t see any rain until the middle of the week, there will be slightly more moisture due to higher dew points. Unsettled weather returns next week…
