Deputies from the Poway Sheriff’s Station ran a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on March 27 from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in the 12700 block of Poway Road. Out of 545 cars that passed through, 382 were screened, 15 were sent for further evaluation, and 4 drivers were tested for DUI. Deputies made 1 DUI alcohol arrest and issued 4 citations for driving without a valid license. No vehicles were towed.
