The cost of getting to the game: parking, transit and rideshares around Petco Park

SAN DIEGO — With Padres opening weekend underway, fans poured into the area ahead of Friday night’s game by trolley, bus, carpool, rideshare, and on foot. But beyond the cost of tickets, food, and drinks, getting to the stadium proved to be another expense many had to factor in.

Come game day, downtown San Diego turns into a maze of blocked routes, traffic cones and parking signs.
