A routine brush fire call on San Antonio’s East Side turned into a homicide scene Saturday after firefighters discovered a burned body, authorities said. The grim find quickly drew a heavy police presence and launched a full-scale investigation.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Rigsby Avenue and found a body wrapped in materials and set on fire, according to KENS 5. What began as a reported brush fire shifted quickly once human remains were located, and police reclassified the call as a homicide investigation while the area was secured and processed.
