SAN ANTONIO — An officer’s vehicle was struck by gunfire while directing traffic near the city’s Northeast Side.
The incident occurred Saturday night around 8:24 p.m. near I-35 North and Walzem Road. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the officer, who was assisting with traffic control in his personal vehicle equipped with emergency lights, heard a loud noise while positioned on the highway.
