Camp Winnebago holds free Easter egg hunt for Rockford-area families

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Easter egg hunts take place all across the stateline over the weekend, distributing thousands of eggs and bringing countless smiles to kids’ faces.

The Egg Hunt at Camp Winnebago, 5804 N Main Street, was no different. Swarms of area children showed up Saturday, March 28, to hop around and find eggs filled with candy and prizes.

The egg hunts were held in waves for different age groups:

  • 5 years and younger: noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m.
  • 6-9 years old: 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m.
  • 10 years or older: 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
