Beloit school board to review 2026-2027 budget

BELOIT — The School District of Beloit School Board of Education will discuss the 2026-2027 budget during a special meeting Monday, March 30.

The district is looking to trim more than $4 million from the budget after its April 2025 operational referendum failed by 141 votes.

At the last board meeting, Beloit school district Interim Superintendent Wayne Anderson requested that the board allow him to hire an assistant principal for Robinson Elementary School and in future years set 450 students as a baseline for whether a school would have a Dean of Students as the No. 2 administrator in a building versus an assistant principal…
