ANN ARBOR, MI – Another tax-capturing public institution is opting out of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority expansion.
The Washtenaw Community College Board of Trustees agreed to sit out the plan, unanimously adopting a resolution to exempt WCC from its share of taxes being captured as the expansion moves forward.
WCC trustees’ move follows that of Washtenaw County commissioners, who made the call March 18, and Ann Arbor District Library officials in late February – most of each group voting to similarly keep millage revenue from leaving agency coffers…
