A busy Sunday night in downtown Baltimore’s entertainment district took a tense turn when multiple fights broke out, and police moved in on large groups of young people, arresting several juveniles as a helicopter circled overhead.
Officers responded to reports of “multiple fights” in the downtown corridor and found sizable groups of juveniles as they worked to break things up and clear the streets. Extra patrol units were called in, and the department’s aviation unit was put in the air to keep watch over the scene.
According to FOX45, the disturbances began Sunday evening. Police told the station that “several juveniles” were taken into custody after officers moved through the downtown area. The outlet reported that additional officers and the Baltimore Police helicopter, known as Foxtrot, were on scene during the response and arrests.
Police response
The Baltimore Police Department regularly turns to Foxtrot when crowds swell or when officers are involved in pursuits. In an October 2025 press release, the agency described Foxtrot helping the Regional Auto Theft Taskforce track down juveniles connected to a multi‑crime case, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Sunday’s deployment fit that familiar playbook of using the helicopter as extra eyes over fast-moving situations on the ground.
