LANSING — A heads-up to drivers who use U.S. 127 between Interstates 96 and 496:
Over the next couple of months, drivers might encounter lane and ramp closures while crews finish some work left over from the $205 million rebuild of that part of the freeway. Those tasks include completing a median barrier wall, bridge epoxy overlays, concrete surface coatings and pavement markings, the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
MDOT said the work would begin on Monday, March 30 and continue through June 5. The timing of the individual closures had not been determined, but MDOT said it would try to alert drivers ahead of time, whenever possible…
