HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Carolina man will face life in prison after he was found guilty of murder in a 2022 shooting on Ocean Boulevard, the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office said.
Lashawn Jarrett, 41, of Monroe, North Carolina was found guilty of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime after a trial that began on Monday. Jarrett was given a life sentence immediately after the jury reached its verdict.
According to the solicitor’s office, the Honorable Circuit Court Judge David Caraker sentenced Jarrett after hearing from members of the victim’s family who “delivered a powerful impact statement to the court.”…
