Thousands Join Santa Barbara’s “No Kings” Protest, Organizers Estimate Crowd of 12,000

Thousands across the Central Coast rallied Saturday, March 28, as part of the third “No Kings” national day of nonviolent action, with Indivisible Santa Barbara estimating a crowd of about 12,000 at the local event.

In Santa Barbara, demonstrators gathered at Alameda Park for speeches and outreach by local organizations before filling six city blocks along Anacapa Street during a march to De La Guerra Plaza.

Indivisible Santa Barbara thanked attendees afterward, posting: “Thank you Santa Barbara, for making our third No Kings event today an inspirational, meaningful event. All 12,000 of you. (estimated). … Watch this space this week, as we turn our collective joy into collective action.”…
