Mississippi has seen warmer than average temperatures recently and that trend is expected to continue, but showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast and storms may become strong over the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, chances of showers and thunderstorms will move into the Jackson and Hattiesburg areas Monday afternoon, March 30. In Oxford, chances of rain will begin on Tuesday, March 31, and in Starkville, chances of thunderstorms will begin Monday afternoon, March 30.
