Lubbock ISD to hold town hall meetings for community

LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock ISD has announced that is holding a series of town hall meetings designed to provide updates to community members, families, staff and stakeholders related to district optimization.

Over the next several weeks, town halls will be hosted in each of the voting districts served by the LISD Board of Trustees, beginning with District 1 on Wednesday, April 1. A virtual town hall is planned to conclude the series on May 5.

Town Hall Schedule:

  • District 1: Wednesday, April 1 | Lubbock High School, 2004 19th Street.
  • District 2: Thursday, April 9 | Estacado High School, 1504 E. Itasca Street.
  • District 5: Monday, April 13 | Mackenzie Middle School, 5402 12th Street.
  • District 3: Monday,April 20 | Coronado High School 4910 29th Drive.
  • District 4: Monday, April 27 | Monterey High School, 3211 47th Street.
  • Virtual Town Hall: Tuesday, May 5 | Streaming information provided at a later date.

All town hall meetings are to be held from 5:30 p.m. through 7 p.m. The meetings are free and open to the public and will be translated in Spanish.
