A routine wait for the bus in New Orleans East turned violent on Saturday when a man was hurt during an armed robbery in the Plum Orchard neighborhood, according to police. The incident unfolded at Dwyer Road and Wilson Avenue after one suspect walked up to the victim and asked him to buy them something from a nearby store. When the man refused, the conversation reportedly escalated into a fight. During the struggle, one suspect pulled a gun and hit the victim several times before both suspects ran off.
