ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – An Amber Alert was issued Monday morning as St. Louis County police searched for a missing 5-year-old.
St. Louis County police said that Aleise Dawson was left in a running 2020 Jeep Renegade that was stolen around 8 a.m. in the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Affton.
“The guardian brought the child out, put her in the car, went inside to get something else and came back out, and the car was gone,” explained Vera Clay, public information supervisor of the St. Louis County Police Department.
Police said the vehicle was found at the Madaford Gardens Apartments, but Dawson remains missing. Dawson is described by police as a Black girl with four ponytails who was last seen wearing a pink “Flower Power” t-shirt and blue shorts…
