Oelwein, Iowa — Fayette County authorities responded to a report of a suicidal male who had left his residence on March 24, 2026, and later located him uninjured at a residence in Oelwein.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received the call at approximately 2:58 p.m. Investigation into the incident revealed that an assault had occurred earlier.
