The block in which S.E. Woodstock Boulevard ends at Foster Road has been a driver’s trouble spot for some time. At 1:06 p.m., on Sunday, January 25th, two vehicles collided in the vicinity of where the two streets combine at an acute angle, and East Precinct officers and an ambulance were sent there to look into it.
Arriving officers closed a block of Woodstock Boulevard, between 82nd and 83rd Avenues, to investigate the mishap – in which they found Nissan Rogue on its side, facing southbound in the intersection – and, facing north on S.E. 83rd Avenue, just south of the intersection, a Toyota Sienna with front end damage. Safety airbags had deployed in both vehicles.
“The Toyota Sienna was occupied by a family, and the Nissan Rogue occupied by a [solo] driver,” Public Information Officer Sergeant Kevin Allen later told THE BEE. “The impact caused the Nissan to be flipped onto its side…
