Volunteers Needed to Transcribe Historic NYC Records

The NYC Department of Records is seeking volunteers to help transcribe digitized documents from 1660–1838. These records include details of children born to enslaved women and acts of manumission preserved in the Municipal Archives. Volunteers can join the project through the transcription platform From the Page to make these historic materials searchable and accessible to all. More information: www.archives.nyc
