Dalton, GA — Whitney Echenique, a small business owner, working mother, and logistics professional, has officially announced her candidacy for Georgia State House District 2, which includes parts of Whitfield, Catoosa, and Walker Counties, becoming the first Democratic candidate to appear on the ballot in more than two decades.
Echenique, who lives in Dalton with her family, said her decision to run comes from both personal experience and the realities facing working families today.
“I’ve seen how quickly stability can change, even for people who are doing everything right,” Echenique said. “I’m running because families and seniors deserve practical leadership that focuses on real solutions, including lowering the cost of living, healthcare they can use, strong schools, and communities that are safe and healthy.”…
