CAPE CORAL, Florida — The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a citywide enforcement operation on March 28, 2026, specifically targeting impaired driving, resulting in 44 total citations.
The operation took place from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and included 53 total traffic stops, according to a press release from the department. Officers issued 19 warnings, 21 speed citations, 35 moving citations, and 8 non-moving citations. There were no citations for seatbelt violations, aggressive driving, or open container violations for drivers or passengers. Additionally, there were no .02 violations reported.
